News sites paying but the news will remain free

Rupert Murdoch has revived the debate last week, announcing that by
July 2010, all sites Press - Times of the Sun - would be paid.
Taking advantage of the loophole opened by the Australian-American
tycoon, several other titles are out of the woods. Le Figaro has
mentioned his project to create a "special area" for subscribers. Com.
Then it was the turn of the British newspaper The Guardian report that
he tested the idea of opening a "member's club" to find some financial
support.
Last night, finally, I read that the German group Axel Springer
was preparing to introduce payment systems for its iPhone applications
titles Die Welt, Bild and Abendblatt.
The news has not pleased the faithful readers of these news sites.
They are assured a priori, general information will be free on the Web.
That the services to be paid.
In Figaro.fr, it speaks of "confidential letters of highly
specialized" and "recreation or cultural events" and "collaborative
tools allowing a better presentation of information."
In the UK, the Guardian bet on a "welcome gift, exclusive
content, live events, special offers from partners and the ability to
communicate with journalists."
In Springer, we want to pay for hyperlocales information
available nowhere else, for archives or a service traffic information.
It's a marketing challenge on the psychology of readers, in short: we will not pay for content, but to be a little VIP
